KVM switch StarTech 2‑port Dual DisplayPort with Audio & USB 2.0 hub, 4K 3840×2400, USB keyboard/mouse, metal housing
The StarTech 2‑port Dual DisplayPort KVM switch with Audio & USB 2.0 hub allows a single keyboard, mouse and set of monitors to control two computers with dual DisplayPort outputs. The metal housing and compact footprint are designed for multi‑PC workstations, control rooms and office setups that require high‑resolution video sharing. The unit supports dual DisplayPort video, DisplayPort HD audio and analog 2‑channel stereo audio with microphone input, and includes an integrated USB 2.0 hub for sharing peripherals.
This KVM switch supports high resolution displays up to 3840×2400 (at reduced refresh rates) and 2560×1600 at 60 Hz, enabling multi‑computer control for demanding imaging and productivity tasks. The built‑in USB 2.0 hub reduces the need for duplicate peripherals by allowing shared access to devices such as keyboards, mice, printers or scanners. The steel housing and compliance with CE, FCC, REACH and TAA standards provide a durable, standards‑compliant solution for professional environments.
Connect the DisplayPort video and audio outputs from each computer to the corresponding inputs on the KVM switch. Attach a USB keyboard and USB mouse to the console ports and connect any peripherals to the integrated USB 2.0 hub. Connect monitors to the dual DisplayPort outputs on the KVM. Switch control between the two connected computers using the device’s front panel or keyboard hotkey sequence as supported by the switch. Ensure connected computers are configured to output video and audio over DisplayPort or via the appropriate adapter if using alternate video outputs.
For best performance with 4K resolutions, use high quality DisplayPort cables and verify that source systems and monitors support the targeted resolution and refresh rate. When mixing DisplayPort with DVI or HDMI outputs, use active adapters where required and confirm audio routing if HD audio is needed. Regularly check cable connections and keep firmware or driver updates for connected systems current to ensure stable switching and peripheral functionality.
