The D-Link DGS-1005P is a compact, fanless 5-port unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch with PoE+ support, designed for home and small office networks. It provides four PoE-capable Gigabit ports and one uplink port, a total power budget of 60 W, a switching capacity of 10 Gbit/s and a MAC address table that supports typical small-network deployments. Silent operation and a small desktop form factor allow flexible placement where space or noise is a concern.

Advantages

Plug-and-play installation requires no configuration. All ports support automatic MDI/MDI-X and auto-negotiation for easy device connection. PoE+ (IEEE 802.3af/at) supplies up to 30 W per port with a combined 60 W budget, enabling connection of APs, IP cameras and IP phones without separate power supplies. Green features such as IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet, link status detection and cable length detection reduce power consumption during idle periods and adjust power per cable length. Store-and-forward switching and wire-speed filtering help maximise network performance and minimise bad packet transmission.

How to use
