The Synergy21 S216383/S216317V4 surface-mount patch panel provides four TP-to-TP couplers rated to CAT6A performance and comes pre-fitted with Slim-line Keystone couplings inside a black metal hinged surface box. It is intended for tidy termination and protected surface mounting of UTP copper runs in both commercial and residential environments, enabling high-speed Ethernet links, network extensions, and point-to-point connections where compact, durable surface enclosures are required.
The patch panel combines CAT6A-rated couplers with Slim-line Keystone modules to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet over twisted pair where cable plant and link design meet CAT6A standards. The metal hinged surface box protects terminations from dust and mechanical damage while allowing easy access for installation and maintenance. Pre-installed keystone couplings reduce installation time and ensure consistent alignment of ports, and the compact form factor saves wall or cabinet space.
This surface-mount panel is not intended for large patched rack installations where high-density 19-inch rack panels are required; its four-port capacity is suited to small-scale deployments. It also requires CAT6A-compliant cabling and proper installation practices to achieve the rated performance, so it will not deliver CAT6A speeds if used with lower-category cabling or poor terminations.
Mount the metal hinged box on a suitable flat surface using appropriate screws or anchors for the substrate. Open the hinged lid and route individual UTP cables to the rear termination area. Terminate each cable onto the supplied Slim-line keystone coupling following the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B) and verify pairs and continuity with a network cable tester. Close the hinged box once terminations are complete to protect the connections. Plug patch cords into the front keystone ports to connect network devices or patch between switch ports.
Use certified CAT6A cable and maintain proper bend radii and pair untwisting limits during termination. After installation, perform link testing to confirm alien crosstalk and return-loss margins if required by the application. For frequent re-patching, use quality patch cords and avoid overloading the enclosure with excessive cable slack.
