Graphite Pencil Set Tadeo Trading PENMATE fine art AF612TT — 12 hardness grades 4H–8B
Tadeo Trading PENMATE fine art AF612TT is a set of 12 graphite pencils that spans hardness grades from 4H to 8B. The range includes firm leads for accurate, fine-line work and progressively softer leads for rich tonal values and smooth blending. The pencils are intended for drawing, sketching and shading on paper and in sketchbooks and suit a variety of artistic techniques from detailed line work to expressive shading.
The set provides a wide tonal spectrum in a single, compact collection, allowing seamless transitions between light, medium and deep darks. Consistent lead performance across grades supports predictable line quality and tonal control. The pencils are designed to hold a sharp point for precise detail while also allowing softer grades to be smudged or blended for smooth gradients. The selection of both hard and soft cores makes the set practical for study, practice and finished illustrations.
Select pencil grades according to the required line darkness and hardness: use 4H–H for precise, thin lines and structural details; use F–HB for general-purpose drawing and midtones; use B–8B for rich shadows, gradients and expressive marks. Hold the pencil lightly for soft shading or at a steeper angle for precise strokes. Use blending tools such as a tortillon, stump or tissue to achieve smooth transitions. Keep a sharpener and eraser nearby to refine edges and lift highlights as needed.
For archival-quality results, use suitable drawing paper with medium to high tooth to support softer leads and to reduce smudging; fixative spray can be applied sparingly to protect finished work. Rotate through grades while sketching to maintain even wear on leads and to preserve consistent tonal range.
