Network patch cable TECHLY Cat.5E U/UTP (CCA) 1.5 m, RJ-45–RJ-45, grey
TECHLY Cat.5E U/UTP (CCA) network patch cable, 1.5 m, with RJ-45 connectors on both ends in grey, is designed for short links and rack patching. The unshielded twisted-pair construction with CCA (copper-clad aluminium) conductors and gold-plated RJ-45 contacts provides a reliable physical connection for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) Ethernet devices. The compact 1.5 m length makes the cable suitable for connecting nearby switches, routers, computers or patch panels where a neat, short run is required.
The cable supports 10/100/1000 Mbps operation and conforms to EIA/TIA 568 wiring standards, enabling gigabit-capable links in appropriate network environments. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 plugs help maintain consistent contact quality and reduce corrosion risk. The U/UTP design and controlled manufacturing of cable and connectors aim to minimise transmission errors for everyday LAN use. The grey jacket provides a neutral colour that blends into most installations.
Insert an RJ-45 plug into the RJ-45 port of each device until the connector latch clicks to ensure a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Use the 1.5 m cable for short-distance links where excess length is unnecessary; avoid sharp bends and tight kinks to preserve cable performance. For rack or patch panel installations, route the cable alongside other patch cords and secure with cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors.
For best results, use this Cat.5E cable where short, cost-effective connections are required and where full gigabit performance is acceptable given CCA conductors. Avoid using CCA-based patch cords in long runs or where power-over-Ethernet with high current is needed; choose certified solid-copper cables for those scenarios. Periodically inspect connectors for dust or corrosion and replace the cable if mechanical damage or degraded performance is observed.
