Fiber optic cable TECHLY SC to SC Multimode OM3 50/125 µm, 2 m, duplex
Fiber optic cable TECHLY SC to SC Multimode OM3 50/125 µm, 2 m, duplex
TECHLY SC to SC Multimode OM3 50/125 µm, 2 m, duplex is a multimode fiber optic patch cable designed for short-range, high-speed links in structured networks. With OM3 specification and 50/125 µm core/cladding, this 2 m duplex cable provides a ready-made connection between SC-terminated ports, suitable for data centre interconnects, switch-to-switch links and storage area networks that require reliable multimode transmission.
The cable offers OM3 graded multimode performance that supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet over typical multimode link distances, while the SC to SC connectors ensure wide compatibility with existing multimode equipment. Its duplex construction allows simultaneous transmit and receive channels in a single assembly. The outer jacket material is low smoke zero halogen (LSZH), reducing toxic emissions in confined environments and meeting safety requirements in many installations.
Install the cable by carefully aligning and inserting each SC connector into the corresponding SC port until it clicks. Use one fiber of the duplex pair for transmit (TX) and the other for receive (RX); maintain correct polarity according to your equipment documentation. Route the cable along cable management pathways, avoiding sharp bends and tight radii to prevent microbending losses. For rack installations, secure the cable with appropriate ties or organizers to prevent strain on the connectors.
For reliable performance, keep bend radius above the manufacturer's minimum (avoid tight loops), keep connectors clean and free of dust, and use dust caps when ports are not in use. Verify polarity and perform link testing after installation to confirm insertion loss and continuity meet system requirements.
