Fiber optic cable TECHLY SC–LC multimode OM4 50/125 µm 2 m, full duplex
Fiber optic cable TECHLY SC–LC multimode OM4 50/125 µm 2 m, full duplex
TECHLY fiber optic cable SC–LC multimode OM4 50/125 µm, 2 m is a full-duplex patch cable for short- to medium-range high-speed links. The OM4 multimode core and cladding (50/125 µm) deliver standards-based multimode performance for LANs, data centres and telecom connections. With SC connector on one end and LC connector on the other, this 2 m cable supports common multimode transceivers and distribution panels used in structured cabling and equipment interconnects.
The cable offers OM4 grade multimode performance to support higher bandwidth and extended reach compared with lower-grade multimode fibres. Its SC to LC connectorization provides compatibility with rack-mounted patch panels and SFP/SFP+ transceivers. The duplex construction enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels for full-duplex links. A durable jacket and standard fibre geometry ensure reliable signal integrity and predictable optical characteristics for installation in indoor networks.
Route the cable between the two endpoints avoiding sharp bends and excessive pulling; observe the minimum bend radius indicated by the fibre manufacturer when installing through conduits or racks. Insert the SC connector into the SC adapter or port and latch it securely, then insert the LC connector into the LC port or adapter until it clicks. Ensure transmit and receive ports are correctly aligned for full-duplex operation. Verify link status and optical power levels with suitable diagnostics or network equipment after installation.
Store and handle the cable in a clean environment to avoid contamination of connector endfaces. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use and clean endfaces with approved fibre-cleaning tools before mating. For installations requiring flame-retardant cabling or specific fire codes, confirm LSZH jacket compliance with local regulations. For optimum performance on 40/100 Gbit/s links, use OM4-compatible transceivers and observe distance limits defined by the transceiver and standard.
