Fibre optic cable TECHLY InfiniBand 2 m SC to SC APC, 9 µm core, yellow
TECHLY InfiniBand 2 m SC to SC APC fibre optic cable is a single-mode 9/125 µm link designed for point-to-point optical connections in data centres, storage clusters and backbone installations. The cable features SC to SC connectors with APC polish to minimize back-reflection and ensure stable signal integrity over extended distances. The 2 metre yellow jacket and simplex construction provide a compact, identifiable and easy-to-route solution for high-bandwidth InfiniBand and fibre network links.
The SC/APC to SC/APC termination with angled polish reduces return loss and improves performance in sensitive optical systems. Single-mode 9 µm core construction supports high bandwidth and longer transmission ranges appropriate for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and higher. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic gas emissions in case of fire and the 3 mm diameter promotes flexibility while maintaining mechanical protection. Minimal bend radius recommendations preserve optical performance in tight routing environments.
Inspect connector endfaces before insertion and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary to prevent contamination and signal loss. Align the SC connectors with the equipment ports and push until the connector latches securely; to remove, depress the latch and pull straight out. Route the cable following the minimum bend radius to avoid microbending losses and secure it with appropriate cable management to prevent tension or sharp bends. Use single-mode ports on transceivers or equipment and verify link status and optical power levels after installation.
For reliable performance, use the cable in single-mode compatible systems and avoid bending below the specified radii. Clean connectors before mating, store unused cables in protective covers, and keep the LSZH jacket away from high-temperature sources. For installations over longer distances or in backbone roles, verify connector polish and link loss budgets as part of commissioning.
