Fibre optic cable TECHLY InfiniBand SC–SC APC 9 µm core, 5 m, yellow
TECHLY InfiniBand SC–SC APC single‑mode fibre optic patch cable, 5 m in length, is designed for reliable high‑speed optical connections. The cable features a 9 µm core (9/125 OS2) and SC/APC terminations on both ends, enabling low‑loss performance for long‑distance links in data centre, SAN and telecommunications environments. The yellow LSZH jacket provides clear visual identification and complies with safety requirements in enclosed spaces.
The single‑mode 9/125 core supports high bandwidth and low attenuation over extended distances, making it suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and higher. SC/APC connectors provide stable physical contact with reduced back reflection, improving signal integrity for sensitive optical equipment. The LSZH sheath reduces smoke and toxic emissions in the event of fire, and the 3 mm diameter simplex design allows easy routing in cable trays and fibre panels.
Inspect connectors and ports for dust or damage before insertion and keep protective caps on when not in use. Align the SC/APC connector key and gently push until it clicks into the SC adapter; avoid twisting motions. Route the cable following existing cable management paths and observe minimum bend radii to prevent microbends that can increase loss. For removal, press the connector latch and pull straight out without bending the cable sharply.
Use this SC–SC APC single‑mode cable for InfiniBand and other single‑mode optical links where low return loss and stable connections are required. Maintain clean connector endfaces using appropriate fibre cleaning tools and store with protective caps to preserve performance. For installations in smoke‑sensitive environments, the LSZH jacket provides an added safety advantage.
