Antenna TechniSat USS1 Yellow
The TECHNISAT Antenna TechniSat USS1 Yellow is a compact DC-coupled surge protector and antenna accessory with 70 Ω impedance, designed for use across a wide frequency range of 5–2600 MHz. It provides surge protection compliant with IEC 61000-4-5 Class 4 (4 kV) and offers waterproofing to IP67 standards via an O-ring, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor satellite distribution installations. The unit is lightweight (20 g) and small in size, intended for connection to satellite receivers, TV sets, and cable modems using an F connector.
The device combines Class 4 (4 kV) surge protection with DC coupling to maintain signal continuity for satellite distribution systems. Its IP67-rated sealing protects the F-connector interface from moisture and weather, enabling safe outdoor use. The compact dimensions and low weight simplify installation and minimize space requirements. It is compatible with satellite receivers, TVs and cable modems that use an F connector.
Install the Antenna TechniSat USS1 Yellow inline on the coaxial feed using the F connector: disconnect the cable, attach the device between the antenna feed and the receiver or modem, and tighten the F connectors by hand or with a suitable wrench to ensure a secure connection. Maintain polarity and continuity for DC-coupled systems. Verify the seal seating of the O-ring before exposure to outdoor conditions to ensure IP67 protection.
For reliable surge protection, mount the device close to the equipment it protects or at the antenna entry point. Check connectors periodically for corrosion or loosening, and replace the unit if physical damage or water ingress is observed.
