Acrylic Paint and Crackle Medium Set TEKA 609487 — Dark Green, 2×35 ml
TEKA Acrylic Paint and Crackle Medium Set 609487 contains two 35 ml jars: one dark green acrylic paint and one crackle medium. The set is intended for decorative and craft projects where a colored base and a controlled crackle finish are required. Both products are supplied in convenient small containers suitable for hobby use and small-scale decorative work on prepared porous surfaces such as wood, canvas and papier-mâché.
The dark green acrylic paint offers opaque coverage and quick drying properties typical for water-based acrylics, enabling layering and overpainting. The included crackle medium produces a network of fine to medium-sized cracks as it dries over the painted surface, creating an aged or textured appearance without the need for additional tools. Together they provide a simple workflow for achieving decorative crackle effects with consistent results.
Prepare the substrate by cleaning and, if necessary, sanding to ensure an even, absorbent surface. Apply a base coat of the dark green acrylic paint and allow it to dry fully. Spread an even layer of the crackle medium over the dried paint according to the desired crackle intensity—thicker layers generally create larger cracks while thinner layers yield finer craquelure. Once the crackle medium has become tacky or reached the recommended working time, apply a final topcoat if a two-tone effect is desired; the topcoat will crack to reveal the underlying colour as the medium dries.
Work in a well-ventilated area and test the process on a sample piece to determine the optimal layer thickness and drying times for your environment and substrate. Store containers tightly closed and protect finished surfaces from moisture until fully cured.
