Patch Panel Accessory Telegärtner J00060A0071
The Telegärtner VM 8-8 module (accessory model J00060A0071) is designed to connect and extend shielded and unshielded twisted-pair installation cables (Cat.5e/Cat.6/Cat.6A/Cat.7/Cat.7A) at transition or consolidation points, for cable extensions, repairs of damaged cables and cable rerouting. For Cat.7A applications the accessory is compatible with standard installation and patch cords and is intended to minimize re-routing by allowing permanent interconnection of multiple cable segments without significant loss of transmission performance.
The module uses LSA Plus terminals on a common PCB and supports EIA/TIA 568A and 568B colour coding, enabling connection of 4-pair shielded or unshielded cables from AWG 27–22. Pairs can be routed to the terminal without untwisting, while screw-on terminals on the PCB provide secure shielded contact. The design allows variable cable feed directions, tool-free installation of the stainless-steel shielding cover on rack and wall-mount versions, and offers bonding connection directly on the PCB (M4 screw). EMC compatibility is provided according to DIN EN 61000-6-1 and 61000-6-2.
Mount the VM 8-8 module in the chosen housing (surface, wall or 19" rack) and route incoming and outgoing cables according to the selected version: surface-mount AP allows cables in the same direction, while surface-mount, 19" and basic versions have cables offset by 180°. Strip the outer sheath as required, bring each pair directly to the LSA Plus terminal without untwisting excessively and terminate using the LSA tool. For shielded cables, secure the shield to the screw-on PCB terminals and, if required, tighten the M4 bonding screw to establish a protective earth connection. Use commercially available cable ties for strain relief where applicable.
Use the module with compatible Cat.7A shielded installation and patch cords, follow EIA/TIA 568 wiring schemes, and verify continuity and shielding with appropriate testers after installation to maintain specified transmission characteristics.
