Fibre optic cable Telegärtner LC/LC 50/125 2m
The Telegärtner LC/LC 50/125 2m fibre optic cable is a multimode patch lead with LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for short- to medium-range high-speed data links, this 2 meter cable supports full duplex transmission and is suitable for InfiniBand and other multimode applications. The cable provides low insertion loss and stable optical performance for structured cabling, server racks, network equipment interconnects and active optical modules.
This LC/LC 50/125 cable combines standardized LC terminations with a multimode 50 µm core to deliver consistent optical characteristics and easy plug-and-play installation. The 2 m length reduces clutter while allowing flexible routing in racks and enclosures. Full duplex capability enables bidirectional data flow needed in storage, computing and high-performance networking environments. The cable construction and connector design focus on low attenuation and repeatable mating cycles for reliable operation in commercial and residential installations.
Inspect both LC connectors and ensure dust caps are removed before mating. Align the LC connector latch with the adapter or transceiver receptacle and insert until it clicks to secure the connection. For duplex operation, maintain correct polarity by matching transmit and receive pairs on both ends. Route the cable with gentle bends following the minimum bend radius recommended for multimode fibre to avoid increased attenuation or damage. When disconnecting, depress the latch and pull the connector straight out; do not twist or pull on the cable jacket.
Store and handle the cable in a clean environment, use dust caps when ports are unused, and periodically inspect endfaces for contamination. For optimal performance in InfiniBand or data centre environments, verify compatibility of the connected transceivers and maintain proper cable management to prevent strain and tight bends.
