TIBOX ST6-825 Metal Enclosure 800x600x250mm IP66 Grey

The TIBOX ST6-825 metal enclosure is a high-quality, wall-mounted cabinet engineered to house and protect electrical components in industrial and commercial settings. Measuring 800x600x250mm, this robust unit is constructed from durable metal and finished in a protective grey coating, ensuring it withstands harsh operational conditions while maintaining a professional appearance.

Advantages

This enclosure offers superior protection against environmental factors thanks to its IP66 ingress protection rating, which guarantees complete defense against dust ingress and powerful water jets. The sturdy metal construction provides high mechanical strength, protecting internal equipment from physical impact and unauthorized access. Its design facilitates efficient heat dissipation and provides ample internal space for complex wiring, control gear, and distribution equipment, making it a reliable solution for long-term electrical infrastructure projects.

Suitable for

• Industrial automation control systems
• Electrical power distribution boards
• Outdoor installations requiring moisture protection
• Protection of sensitive electronic components in dusty environments

When it may not be suitable

This enclosure may not be appropriate for environments with highly corrosive atmospheres, such as chemical processing plants, where specialized stainless steel or non-metallic materials might be required. Additionally, it is not intended for submerged applications or areas where the internal heat load exceeds the dissipation capacity of the metal casing without additional ventilation.

Key specifications

• Dimensions: 800mm x 600mm x 600mm x 250mm
• Ingress Protection: IP66
• Material: Durable metal
• Mounting type: Wall-mounted

How to use

The TIBOX ST6-825 should be mounted on a flat, stable vertical surface using appropriate hardware capable of supporting the weight of the enclosure and its internal components. Ensure that the door gasket is clean and properly seated before closing to maintain the IP66 seal. Cable entries should be made using appropriate cable glands that match the required ingress protection rating to prevent moisture or dust from entering through the entry points.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that the dimensions are sufficient for your specific electrical components and wiring layout.
• Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the cabinet and its contents.
• Check that the IP66 rating is suitable for your specific environmental conditions.
• Confirm that you have the necessary tools and cable glands for proper installation.

Usage recommendations

Regularly inspect the door seal for signs of wear or damage to ensure the IP66 protection remains intact. Keep the exterior clean and free of debris to prevent corrosion and ensure proper heat dissipation.
