Position the sealing mat under the drain body during waterproofing to ensure a watertight junction. For cleaning and inspection, lift the grate using the supplied hook, check the SMARTthru inspection window and remove the strainer to clear debris. Refit the grate after cleaning and ensure the grate is seated evenly on the flange.

Usage recommendations

Use tile-insert grate option when matching finished floor tiles for a seamless look; for easier maintenance choose the solid grate. Regularly check and remove accumulated debris from the strainer to maintain the rated flow rate. Avoid discharging large solids into the drain and follow local plumbing codes for pipe connections.
