Water pump TOYA Sthor 79782 — submersible 500 W, 230 V, IPX8, 10 m cable
Submersible water pump TOYA Sthor 79782 is a compact drainage pump with a 500 W motor designed for continuous water extraction at 230 V/50 Hz. Built with IPX8 protection for prolonged immersion, it is intended for removing standing water from garden ponds, flooded basements and temporary construction pits. The unit weighs 3 kg and includes a 10 m power cable to reach remote power sources while keeping the pump submerged.
The pump combines a durable 500 W electric motor and IPX8-rated waterproofing to allow long-term underwater operation. Its compact and relatively lightweight body simplifies handling and temporary relocation. A 10 m cable provides flexibility in placement without frequent repositioning, while the 230 V supply makes it compatible with standard mains outlets. The design supports continuous use for drainage tasks and short-term dewatering jobs.
Before use, ensure the power source matches 230 V/50 Hz and inspect the cable and housing for damage. Place the pump in the water so it sits stably on the bottom or a support surface; for best performance ensure the intake is clear of debris. Connect the power plug to a grounded outlet and switch on the unit. Monitor during operation to prevent clogging and to confirm continuous flow. After use, disconnect power, lift the pump from the water by the body (do not pull by the cable), drain residual water and allow the pump to dry before storage.
Use a coarse pre-filter or strainer if pumping water with leaves, sediment or gravel to reduce the risk of impeller clogging. For longer service life, avoid running the pump dry and perform periodic inspection of the cable and seals. When working on construction sites or in basements, position the pump on a flat, stable surface and keep the power connection elevated and dry.
