Wireless Outdoor Access Point TP‑Link CPE510 300 Mbps, 5 GHz, 1× RJ‑45, PoE, White
TP‑Link CPE510 is an outdoor wireless access point operating in the 5 GHz band with a maximum throughput of 300 Mbps. It is built for outdoor wireless networking, supporting point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links as well as outdoor Wi‑Fi coverage. The unit integrates a high‑gain dual‑polarized antenna and is supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation.
The CPE510 uses enterprise‑grade chipsets and a purpose‑built enclosure to withstand wide temperature ranges and outdoor conditions. Its built‑in high‑gain antenna and metal reflector provide improved signal gain and reduced interference, while TDMA-based MAXtream technology reduces collisions in larger deployments. PoE power and a single 10/100 Mbps RJ‑45 port make mounting and connection straightforward.
This device operates on the 5 GHz band and is optimized for outdoor, long‑range links; it may be less effective in environments where 5 GHz penetration through structures is required or where backward compatibility with only 2.4 GHz clients is essential. The single 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port limits wired LAN throughput compared with gigabit‑class devices.
Mount the CPE510 in a location with line‑of‑sight to the target access point or client for best performance, and connect it to a PoE injector or PoE switch using a compatible Ethernet cable. Configure wireless settings, security (WEP/WPA/WPA2) and MAXtream TDMA settings through the device web interface or centralized management application. Align the antenna and reflector for optimal signal and run periodic checks on link quality.
For long‑range point‑to‑point links, ensure clear line‑of‑sight and use precise antenna alignment. In multi‑CPE networks, enable MAXtream TDMA to reduce collisions. Use PoE for clean power delivery and place the unit where it is protected from direct physical damage while maintaining unobstructed signal paths.
