RE815XE is a WiFi 6E tri-band range extender that adds the new 6 GHz frequency band to your home network, increasing available spectrum and enabling lower latency and higher throughput. It works with existing routers to broaden wireless coverage, supports up to 96 devices and can operate as an access point via its Ethernet port with up to 1,000 Mbps port rate.

Advantages

Adding the 6 GHz band provides additional capacity and reduces congestion for compatible devices, while tri-band operation dedicates a backhaul channel to maintain steady throughput. Four external antennas and six high-power FEM components improve signal stability and range, and beamforming directs WiFi toward client devices for stronger connections. OneMesh™ compatibility allows the RE815XE to form a seamless roaming network with supported routers. The built-in access point mode lets you convert a wired connection to a tri-band wireless access point when an Ethernet line is available.

How to use

Plug the RE815XE into a power outlet within range of your router and follow the extender’s setup procedure to connect it to your existing WiFi network. For best performance place the extender so the router and target coverage area both receive a good signal. If your router supports OneMesh™, enable the feature on both devices to create a seamless roaming network that shares SSID names. To use access point mode, connect an Ethernet cable from your network line or router to the extender’s Ethernet port; the device will then broadcast a tri-band wireless network using the wired connection.
