Unmanaged Switch TP-Link TL-SF1005Pver.2 5-Port 10/100Mbps
Unmanaged Switch TP-Link TL-SF1005Pver.2 5-Port 10/100Mbps
The TP-Link TL-SF1005Pver.2 is an unmanaged 5-port Fast Ethernet switch with four IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports. It provides 10/100 Mbps connectivity, a MAC address table for 2000 entries and a switching capacity of 1 Gbit/s in a compact, metal, fanless desktop or wall-mountable design. The switch accepts a 53.5 V DC input and is intended to power and connect networked devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points while delivering basic unmanaged switching functions.
The device integrates four PoE-enabled RJ45 ports that automatically detect and power IEEE 802.3af compliant PDs, simplifying installation by removing the need for separate power supplies. Intelligent power management monitors total PoE consumption and will disable power to lower-priority ports when consumption exceeds 58 W to protect devices from overload. A sturdy metal casing with shielded RJ45 ports and a fanless design ensures quiet and durable operation suitable for desktop or wall mounting.
Place the TL-SF1005Pver.2 on a flat surface or mount it on a wall using appropriate fittings. Connect each network device to the RJ45 ports; plug PoE-capable devices into ports 1–4 to receive both data and power over a single Ethernet cable. Connect the supplied DC power adapter to the switch and power it on. The switch operates in unmanaged mode, so no configuration is required; connected devices will negotiate speed (10/100 Mbps) and duplex automatically.
For stable PoE operation, calculate the combined power requirements of connected Powered Devices (PDs) to ensure the switch’s intelligent power management does not disable lower-priority ports. Use IEEE 802.3af-compliant devices and shielded cables where possible for reliable performance in environments with electrical interference.
