The TL-SG105PE is a 5-port Gigabit Easy Smart Switch with four PoE+ ports, designed for small businesses that need simple network management and Power over Ethernet capability. It connects and powers up to four IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras and IP phones, while offering web-based management and a management utility for monitoring and configuration.

Advantages

The switch provides PoE+ on ports 1–4, intelligent power management with port priority to protect the system from overload, and PoE Auto Recovery to reboot unresponsive PoE devices. It adds useful management features beyond an unmanaged switch, including traffic prioritization (Port Priority, 802.1P and DSCP), enhanced QoS, network monitoring, Port Mirroring, Loop Prevention and Cable Diagnostics. How to use

Connect network devices to any of the five RJ45 ports; devices that require power should be connected to ports 1–4 to receive PoE. Access the web-based interface or the management utility from a connected PC to configure VLANs, QoS priorities and monitor traffic or diagnostics. The switch automatically negotiates link speed and crossover requirements, so no special cabling is needed. If total PoE power demand exceeds the budget, the built-in priority order will disable the lowest-priority PoE port(s) to protect the system.

Place the switch in a well-ventilated location and calculate total PoE power requirements of connected devices before deployment. Use the web interface to enable PoE Auto Recovery and configure QoS and VLAN settings to match your network segmentation and traffic priorities.
