Unmanaged Switch TP-Link TL-SL1311MP 8-Port 10/100Mbps + 3-Port Gigabit
TP-Link TL-SL1311MP is an unmanaged desktop switch with 8× 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports and 3× Gigabit ports. It supports Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af/at) on eight PoE+ ports with a total PoE budget of 124 W, enabling power and data delivery over a single cable to devices such as access points, IP cameras and IP phones. The switch is fanless, housed in a durable metal casing, and includes features for extended PoE reach and simple port isolation.
The TL-SL1311MP requires no configuration and provides plug-and-play connectivity. Its eight PoE+ ports automatically detect and supply required power to IEEE 802.3af/at compliant devices while intelligent power management prioritizes ports if the total draw exceeds the 124 W budget. Extend Mode increases PoE transmission distance up to 250 m for long-range deployments, and Isolation Mode separates traffic on PoE ports 1–8 to reduce snooping and limit broadcast storms. A 7.6 Gbit/s switching capacity, 2000-entry MAC table and metal, fanless design contribute to reliable performance in small offices, retail and surveillance setups.
Place the TL-SL1311MP on a desk or mount it in an appropriate location powered by a standard AC outlet. Connect network devices to the Gigabit and 10/100 Mbps ports using Ethernet cables. Plug PoE-capable devices into the PoE ports to deliver data and power over the same cable. No configuration is required for basic operation; the switch will automatically detect PoE devices and allocate power according to their needs.
For long-distance IP camera installations, enable Extend Mode to reach up to 250 m. Use Isolation Mode for ports 1–8 when you need to separate PoE device traffic for improved security and to limit broadcast storms. If total PoE demand approaches or exceeds 124 W, assign higher-priority devices to ports that must remain powered to ensure critical equipment stays operational.
