Unmanaged Switch Trendnet TEG-S50G
The Trendnet TEG-S50G is a compact unmanaged 5-port Gigabit GREENnet switch designed to expand wired networks with reliable, energy-efficient performance. It offers five RJ-45 Ethernet ports, full-duplex operation and a MAC address table with 4000 entries. Compliant with IEEE standards (802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3x), the metal-housed switch delivers a total switching capacity of 10 Gbps in full-duplex mode while reducing power consumption through GREENnet technology.
GREENnet technology automatically adjusts power voltage based on link status and cable length to reduce energy use by up to 70%. Gigabit ports and a 10 Gbps switching capacity help prevent network congestion and support high-bandwidth traffic. The plug-and-play unmanaged design requires no configuration, and the sturdy metal enclosure provides durability for office or small‑business deployments.
Place the switch on a stable surface and connect its power adapter. Use standard Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables to link your router, computers, printers or other devices to the RJ-45 ports. The device is plug-and-play; it will automatically detect link speed and activate full-duplex operation where supported. Monitor connected devices via their activity LEDs to verify link and traffic status.
Install the switch in a well-ventilated location away from heat sources. For optimal performance use Cat5e or Cat6 cables and place the switch within recommended cable length limits (100 m per Ethernet segment). GREENnet power savings are most noticeable on links with shorter cable runs or idle ports.
