Install compatible SFP transceivers into one or both SFP slots according to the desired fiber type and link distance. Connect the RJ-45 Ethernet port to the copper switch, router, or endpoint using standard Ethernet cable, and attach fiber patch cords to the SFP transceiver ports. Apply power using the supplied external adapter and verify the link/activity LEDs to confirm proper connection. The device requires no special configuration and operates as a plug-and-play media converter; ensure SFP modules and fiber connectors match at both ends of the link for correct operation.
Use TRENDnet-approved or vendor-verified SFP transceivers that match the fiber type (single-mode or multimode), connector type (LC, etc.), and distance requirements.
