TRENDnet TI-BG5091B is an unmanaged PoE Ethernet switch with eight 2.5G RJ-45 ports that support 100/1000/2500 Mbps in full duplex. The switch provides a 60 Gbit/s switching capacity and a MAC address table of 4,000 entries. Designed for industrial and commercial environments, the metal housing with IP50 rating is wall-mountable and includes DIN-rail and wall mount brackets. It accepts 24–57 V DC power and supports 802.3af/at/bt PoE standards to power connected devices.
The TI-BG5091B delivers multi-gigabit PoE connectivity across eight RJ-45 ports while maintaining a 60 Gbit/s backplane for efficient packet forwarding. A high PoE budget (up to 480 W) and fast PoE capability reduce device boot time, and multiple power inputs plus an alarm output provide redundancy and fault notification. Hardened design, wide operating temperature range, and included mounting options simplify deployment in small offices, surveillance sites, and wireless access point installations.
Mount the switch on a wall or DIN rail using the supplied brackets and connect a compatible DC power source within the 24–57 V range. Attach PoE devices and network endpoints to the 2.5G RJ-45 ports and use the SFP+ port for a high-speed uplink if required. The switch is unmanaged so no configuration is necessary; devices receive power automatically per PoE standard negotiation. Install monitoring of the power inputs and alarm output where redundancy and fault alerts are needed.
For reliable operation, use a suitable external DC power supply (sold separately) that meets the switch’s voltage range and current requirements. When deploying multiple high-power PoE devices, plan power distribution so the total connected PoE draw does not exceed the 480 W budget. Place the switch in a ventilated area within the specified temperature range and secure redundant power feeds if continuous operation is critical.
