KVM Switch Trendnet TK-407K USB VGA 2048x1536
The Trendnet TK-407K 4-Port USB KVM Switch lets you control four computers using one keyboard, monitor and mouse. It includes four detachable KVM cable sets that provide both signal and USB power to the switch, removing the need for a separate power adapter. The switch supports VGA video up to 2048 x 1536 and is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac OS platforms.
The TK-407K provides USB keyboard and mouse emulation, supports common mouse models including Microsoft IntelliMouse and many optical mice, and offers hot-plug capability with audible feedback. Multiple switching methods are available: front-panel push button, user-definable hot-key (Windows only), automatic scan with adjustable interval, and Windows-based client switching software. The unit is plug-and-play and comes with four detachable 1.8 m KVM cables for immediate setup.
Connect each computer to the KVM switch using the provided detachable KVM cables, ensuring VGA and USB connectors are firmly attached. Connect your keyboard, mouse and monitor to the KVM switch console ports. The unit draws power from the connected computers via the USB cables, so no external power supply is needed. Use the front-panel button, hot-key commands, or the Windows client software to switch control between connected systems. Enable auto-scan mode if you want the switch to cycle through computers at regular intervals.
For optimal video quality at the supported 2048 x 1536 resolution, use good-quality VGA cables and ensure graphics drivers on connected computers are up to date. When using specialized USB mice, verify compatibility before deployment; the switch supports many standard USB optical mice and IntelliMouse models. Keep the detachable KVM cables organized to simplify hot-plugging and maintenance.
