The TRENDnet TPE-BE200 is a 2-port Gigabit PoE++ extender that accepts a single PoE++ (60W) input and extends both power and data up to an additional 100 m (328 ft.) for two PoE+ (30W) devices. The device supports IEEE PoE standards and enables a total extension distance of up to 200 m (656 ft.) from the PoE source; daisy-chaining up to four extenders can increase the total PoE network reach to as much as 500 m (1,640 ft.). The compact white unit includes one PoE++ input port and two PoE+ output ports and supports gigabit Ethernet throughput.
The TPE-BE200 automatically detects PoE (15.4W), PoE+ (30W) or PoE++ (60W) input and redistributes power and data to two downstream PoE+ ports. Its gigabit-capable ports preserve network speed while extending range, and the device’s PoE budget of 60 W allows powering of multiple mid-power devices without separate power supplies. The small footprint and standard RJ-45 ports simplify installation in existing Ethernet infrastructures.
Connect a PoE++ (60W) enabled switch or injector to the extender’s PoE++ input port using standard Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. Plug your downstream PoE+ devices into the two output RJ-45 ports; the unit will auto-detect the incoming PoE class and allocate power accordingly. For longer reach, insert additional TPE-BE200 extenders in series (daisy-chain) to achieve the required total distance, ensuring each link uses compliant Ethernet cable and proper grounding where applicable.
Use quality Cat5e or Cat6 cables to maintain gigabit speeds and PoE delivery. Verify the upstream PoE source can provide sufficient power (60 W) when powering two PoE+ devices. Avoid exceeding device power budgets and follow local installation and grounding practices.
