TRENDnet TPE-E100 Gigabit PoE+ Repeater extends a Gigabit PoE/PoE+ network connection to remote locations by detecting incoming PoE (15.4 W) or PoE+ (30 W) and carrying power and data an additional 100 meters, enabling up to 200 m (656 ft.) from the PoE source. The compact black unit uses a single RJ-45 port for 10/100/1000 Mb/s links and supports a maximum data transfer rate up to 800 Mbit/s while consuming about 2 W, providing a simple way to expand wired network coverage without an external power adapter.

How to use

Connect the incoming PoE/PoE+ Ethernet cable from your PoE injector or switch to the repeater’s RJ-45 port. Run a second Ethernet cable from the repeater to the powered device up to 100 m away. If a longer extension is required, install a second TPE-E100 in series: connect the first repeater to the PoE source, then connect the second repeater to the first and run the final cable to the powered device. Secure the unit using the built-in mounting points; no external power adapter is required.

Usage recommendations

For reliable performance, use quality Cat5e or higher cabling, keep each segment within the 100 m limit, and verify that the PoE source provides sufficient power budget for the powered device plus cable losses.
