The N820-15M-OM4 10 Gb/100 Gb Duplex Multimode 50/125 OM4 LSZH Fiber Patch Cable is an OM4-rated multimode fiber patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet and data center interconnects. The cable supports 40/100 Gb Ethernet links up to 300 meters at 850 nm and provides substantially greater bandwidth than older 62.5 µm multimode fiber while maintaining compatibility with existing 50/125 installations. It features an aqua (turquoise) LSZH jacket and dual male LC connectors for broad equipment compatibility.
This OM4 LOMMF cable delivers up to 10x the bandwidth of conventional 62.5 µm multimode fiber and supports laser-optimized transmission for VCSEL and LED light sources. The 50/125 glass fiber duplex (zipcord) construction and tested dual LC male connectors meet stringent insertion-loss requirements. The low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket reduces toxic smoke in the event of combustion, making the cable suitable for use in confined or poorly ventilated spaces.
Inspect both LC connector endfaces and ports for dust or damage before installation and clean if necessary. Route the duplex zipcord along cable trays or management channels avoiding sharp bends and excessive tensile load. Insert LC connectors fully into corresponding LC ports on networking equipment or transceivers until they latch. Verify link status and test for insertion loss and continuity according to your site procedures after installation.
For optimal performance, use this OM4 LSZH patch cable with VCSEL-compatible transceivers and within the specified 300 m 850 nm range. Store and handle the cable to avoid tight bends (observe minimum bend radius) and protect connector endfaces with dust caps until connection. Consider LSZH jacketed cables in enclosed or public spaces where reduced smoke and halogen-free materials are required.
