Optical Toslink cable UGREEN UGR510 1.5 m, silver — digital audio S/PDIF
UGREEN UGR510 is a 1.5 m Toslink optical cable designed to transmit digital audio via S/PDIF connections. The cable uses optical fiber and Toslink connectors to deliver clear stereo or multichannel sound while providing electrical isolation between connected devices. It is suited for home audio setups and media centers where reduced electrical interference and reliable digital signal transfer are required.
The optical fiber construction eliminates ground loop noise and prevents electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, maintaining signal integrity over the cable length. Toslink connectors ensure a standardized plug-and-play interface compatible with most devices that support S/PDIF optical output or input. A 1.5 m length offers flexible placement between TVs, soundbars, AV receivers and external DACs without excess slack.
Insert one Toslink connector into the optical output of the source device and the other connector into the optical input of the target device. Ensure the protective caps are removed before connection. Verify that both devices are set to use the S/PDIF optical interface in their audio output/input settings and select the appropriate audio format on the source if format selection is required. Handle the cable without sharp bends; maintain a gentle radius to avoid stressing the optical fiber.
For optimal performance, keep the cable free from tight loops and avoid running it parallel to high-voltage power cables. If a device does not detect audio over the optical connection, check device settings and try reseating the connectors. Use the 1.5 m length for typical home setups; for longer runs, choose a longer optical cable to prevent strain.
