Metal stake UN S-BTMP150 with a polyethylene (PE) coating, 11 mm diameter and 1500 mm length. This coated metal rod is intended for securing plants, fencing, netting and small garden structures. The PE cover provides a smooth surface that reduces abrasion on ties and improves resistance to weathering compared with bare steel, making the stake suitable for outdoor horticulture, landscaping and light construction tasks where a rigid and weather-resistant support is needed.
The polyethylene coating on the metal stake increases corrosion resistance and provides a non-abrasive surface that protects plant stems and fastening materials. Its 11 mm diameter delivers sufficient rigidity for supporting medium-weight loads while remaining easy to handle and install. The 1500 mm length gives depth for stable anchoring in soil and planting beds. The simple cylindrical design enables use with a variety of ties, clips and fasteners and is compatible with common garden and fencing systems.
Drive the stake into the ground at the chosen location using a mallet or hammer with a protective cap to avoid damaging the polyethylene coating. Position the stake so that an appropriate length remains above ground for tying or attaching supports. Attach plants, netting or fencing to the stake using soft ties, clips or wire with protective sleeves to prevent cutting into the coating or plant stems. For harder ground, pre-drill a pilot hole or use a metal punch to start the hole; when installing in loose or sandy soil, consider deeper insertion or adding gravel for extra stability.
For long-term outdoor durability, inspect stakes periodically for coating damage and replace any with significant wear. Use non-abrasive ties and avoid sharp metal fasteners that can score the polyethylene layer. For permanent structural applications, combine multiple stakes or pair with anchored posts to achieve required load-bearing capacity.
