Reducer coupling Unidelta 40 x 25 mm PE pipe fitting model 601139
Unidelta reducer coupling 40 x 25 mm (model 601139) is a polyethylene (PE) pipe fitting designed to connect a 40 mm diameter PE pipe to a 25 mm diameter PE pipe. It provides a simple mechanical transition between two different pipe sizes without metal components, ensuring a corrosion-resistant joint suitable for water distribution, irrigation and other low-pressure fluid conveyance systems. The fitting is injection-moulded from compatible PE material to match standard PE pipe dimensions and to provide a compact, lightweight connection point.
The reducer coupling offers chemical and corrosion resistance inherent to polyethylene, low weight and ease of handling during installation. Its stepped bore geometry provides a secure interference fit with standard PE pipe outside diameters, enabling a reliable transition between pipe sizes without welding or metal adapters. The plastic construction reduces thermal expansion differences with PE piping and resists degradation from common waterborne environments.
Select compatible 40 mm and 25 mm PE pipes with matching outside diameters and cut pipe ends square and clean. Depending on the system, the coupling can be installed by pushing the pipe ends into the respective sockets to achieve an interference or push-fit connection; where required, use appropriate joining methods specified for PE fittings such as heat fusion or approved mechanical clamps if the system design calls for them. Ensure that the assembled joint is aligned, supported, and free from strain before placing the system into service.
Verify compatibility of pipe dimensions and the intended operating pressure before installation. Store the fitting protected from prolonged UV exposure and extreme temperatures. For permanent buried or pressurised installations, follow applicable codes and use approved joining methods for PE systems to guarantee long-term sealing and performance.
