Transition fitting Unidelta PE female thread 20 mm x 1/2" (601620)
Unidelta transition fitting PE female thread 20 mm x 1/2" (601620) is an adapter designed to join 20 mm polyethylene (PE) pipes to 1/2" female threaded fittings. The fitting creates a mechanical, pressure-resistant connection between smooth PE tubing and threaded metal or plastic components, enabling integration of PE distribution lines with conventional threaded valves, taps and fixtures in plumbing, irrigation and water supply systems.
The fitting provides a compact and robust transition from PE pipe to a 1/2" female thread without the need for specialized tools. Its construction ensures a leak-resistant joint under normal operating pressures, and compatibility with both metal and plastic threaded components increases installation flexibility. The product is lightweight and corrosion-resistant due to the use of polymer materials in its PE connection area, while the threaded interface allows secure mechanical attachment to existing fittings.
Prepare the 20 mm PE pipe by cutting it square and deburring the end. Insert the pipe into the PE side of the transition fitting until it reaches the internal stop; depending on design, secure the pipe with the recommended method (push-fit, compression ring or clamp as applicable). Thread the 1/2" female end onto the corresponding male threaded fitting by hand, then tighten to a secure fit using an appropriate tool without over-torquing. Verify alignment and perform a pressure/leak test according to system requirements before putting the line into regular service.
Ensure compatibility of thread type and sealing method with the mating fitting; use suitable thread sealant or tape if required. Avoid excessive bending or mechanical stress at the connection point. Follow local plumbing codes and manufacturer guidelines for operating pressures and temperatures.
