The UNITEK uHUB O8+ is an 8-in-1 USB-C hub in a grey aluminium housing that expands a laptop or USB-C device with Power Delivery 100W charging, dual video outputs (4K HDMI and Full HD VGA), Gigabit Ethernet, SD/MicroSD card reader, two SuperSpeed USB-A ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The hub uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type-C) host interface and supports simultaneous charging and data transfer up to 5 Gbps.

Advantages

The hub supports USB Power Delivery Revision 3.0 (up to 100W, 20V/5A) while providing USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data transfer (5 Gbps). Dual video outputs allow HDMI at up to 4K@30Hz and VGA at Full HD 1080p; when both HDMI and VGA are used simultaneously the maximum output for each is 1080p@60Hz. The integrated Gigabit Ethernet port supports 10/100/1000 Mbps and network features such as IPv4/IPv6 checksum offload and Wake-on-LAN. Compact aluminium construction offers a lightweight, durable accessory for mobile setups.

How to use

Connect the hub's USB-C plug to your laptop or compatible device USB-C port. If you need to charge the host device, connect a USB-C PD charger to the hub's USB-C power input and ensure the charger supports up to 100W. Attach external displays to the HDMI or VGA ports; note that simultaneous use of both outputs limits each to 1080p@60Hz. Insert SD or MicroSD cards into the card reader and plug USB drives into the USB-A ports for data access. Connect a network cable to the RJ45 port for wired internet connection and a headset or speakers to the 3.5 mm jack for audio output.

Usage recommendations

For stable high-resolution video output, use a Quality HDMI cable and a display that supports the stated resolutions.
