Acrylic Airbrush Paint Set VALLEJO Model Air Basic Colors 8 x 17 ml
Set of eight VALLEJO Model Air acrylic paints in 17 ml bottles formulated for airbrush application. The set contains pre-thinned lacquer-like acrylics designed to deliver consistent flow and fine atomization for painting scale models, miniatures, figures and dioramas. Bottles include dropper caps and a printed color chart for quick reference. Colors in the set cover primary and metallic tones useful for basecoats, highlights and small decorative elements.
VALLEJO Model Air paints are supplied at an airbrush-friendly viscosity for immediate use with most siphon, gravity and external-mix airbrushes without heavy thinning. The formulation offers even coverage, good pigment load and stable color across thin translucent layers, enabling smooth gradients and controlled blending. Bottles with eyedroppers and compact 17 ml volume make them practical for hobbyists needing precise amounts and minimal waste.
These paints are formulated specifically for airbrush use; direct brush application may require additional thinning and could change the finish and handling characteristics. For surfaces without a compatible primer or for porous materials, adhesion and durability may be reduced unless a suitable primer and protective topcoat are applied. Extremely large surface coverage projects may require multiple bottles or larger-volume paints.
Shake each bottle before use to ensure pigment uniformity. Load the paint into the airbrush cup or bottle feed and spray at recommended pressures for model work (typically low to medium air pressures). For finer control, use small adjustments in pressure and distance; apply multiple thin coats rather than one heavy coat to avoid pooling. When necessary, thin with a compatible acrylic thinner to adjust flow for specific airbrush types or environmental conditions. Allow adequate drying between coats and finish with a suitable varnish for protection and desired sheen.
Use low to medium air pressure and apply several thin passes for even coverage. Test on scrap material first, keep bottles capped when not in use, and store in a cool, dry place. Combine with compatible thinners and primers from the same product line for predictable results.
