Paint Set VALLEJO Model Air - WWII USAAF Aircraft 16 x 17 ml
VALLEJO Model Air - WWII USAAF Aircraft 16 x 17 ml is a curated set of airbrushing acrylic paints designed for scale aircraft modelers working on United States Army Air Forces World War II schemes. The set contains a selection of finely ground, reduced-viscosity acrylics in 17 ml dropper-style bottles intended to deliver smooth, consistent flow through an airbrush for base coats, pre-shading, detail work and light weathering on plastic, resin and metal model surfaces.
The Model Air formulation provides stable color with finely milled pigments and a lower viscosity optimized for airbrush use, reducing the need for additional thinning. Dropper-style bottles allow controlled dispensing and minimize waste when filling an airbrush cup. Colors are formulated to match historic USAAF tonal ranges used in World War II modeling and are suitable for layered painting techniques such as pre-shading and glazing.
These paints are formulated primarily for airbrush application; direct brush application is possible but may not produce the same smooth, even coverage without thinning or additional coats. The set focuses on USAAF WWII colors and may not include every specialized color required for non-USAAF aircraft or modern aviation schemes.
Shake each bottle well before use to ensure pigment dispersion. Apply over a properly prepared and primed surface. For airbrush application, thin only if needed according to your airbrush and nozzle size; the Model Air range is formulated for minimal thinning. Start with light, even passes to build up color gradually, using pre-shading or modulation techniques where required. Allow adequate drying time between coats and finish with appropriate clear coats or weathering products compatible with acrylics.
Use these paints at medium pressure in the airbrush, apply thin multiple passes rather than heavy single coats, and test mixes on a scrap piece before committing to the model. Seal finished work with a compatible clear coat for protection and to unify finish.
