Acrylic Paint Set VALLEJO Game Color Tanned Skin Set 4×18 ml (72.380)
VALLEJO Game Color Tanned Skin Set 4×18 ml offers four coordinated acrylic tones formulated for painting tanned human and humanoid skin on miniatures and scale figures. The water-based, opaque acrylics are suitable for fine brushwork and can be thinned for airbrush application. Each 18 ml bottle contains a stable pigment mix designed to layer, blend, and shade typical tabletop and wargaming figures with consistent coverage and color balance.
The set provides a compact palette of matching tanned skin shades that work together for basecoats, midtones, highlights, and shadows. Being water-based and opaque, the Game Color paints offer good adhesion to common miniature substrates and are easy to mix and thin with water or compatible acrylic mediums. Bottles feature a user-friendly cap for controlled dispensing and the formulation is optimized for fast drying and layering without excessive brush drag.
These specific colors are focused on tanned skin ranges and may not cover very pale, very dark, or non-human skin palettes without additional paints. For projects requiring encaustic, oil-based finishes, or non-acrylic materials, these water-based acrylics are not appropriate.
Shake each bottle before use to ensure uniform pigment suspension. Apply a thin, even basecoat with a hobby brush; use multiple thin layers rather than a single thick coat to preserve detail. For airbrushing, thin paints gradually with water or a recommended acrylic thinner until you reach the desired viscosity. Allow each layer to dry before applying highlights or glazes. Clean brushes and airbrush components with water immediately after use.
For consistent results, prime miniatures with a matte acrylic primer, apply thin successive coats from the lightest to the darkest tones for controlled highlights and shadows, and thin paints for airbrushing. Store bottles upright in a cool, dry place and reseal caps tightly to maintain paint quality.
