Acrylic Paint VALLEJO 71.064 Silver (Chrome Metallic) — 17 ml Bottle
VALLEJO 71.064 Silver (Chrome Metallic) is a 17 ml water-based, matte acrylic paint specially formulated for airbrushing and fine finishing on models and miniatures. Part of the Model Air range, this metallic silver offers a chrome-like effect developed from researched military colour references and designed to dry quickly into a homogeneous, durable film that preserves fine detail. The paint can be used neat or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver and is supplied in a dispenser bottle for controlled application.
The Silver (Chrome Metallic) formulation provides an even metallic finish that dries rapidly and resists wear while maintaining surface detail. It is compatible with airbrushing at low pressures (recommended 15–20 PSI / 0.5–1 kg) and can also be applied by brush. Supplied in a convenient 17 ml dispenser bottle for precise dosing, it works well with Vallejo airbrush cleaner and recommended thinners for maintenance and thinning.
This water-based metallic paint is formulated primarily for primed model surfaces; it may not adhere well to unprimed or very glossy substrates without proper surface preparation. Extremely large non-model surfaces or industrial metalwork requiring true chrome plating or high-durability industrial coatings are outside the intended use.
Prime the model surface before painting. Use the paint directly from the bottle or dilute with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver for finer atomization. For airbrushing, set compressor pressure to around 15–20 PSI (0.5–1 kg) and apply in several thin, even layers allowing short drying time between coats. The paint can also be applied with a fine brush for small details. Clean the airbrush after use with Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner to maintain performance.
For best metallic results, apply multiple thin coats over a properly primed and, if needed, lightly sanded surface. Use Vallejo Airbrush Thinner to adjust viscosity for the airbrush and Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner for routine maintenance.
