Acrylic Paint VALLEJO 70.878 Old Gold 17 ml — bottle dispenser
VALLEJO 70.878 Old Gold is a 17 ml acrylic paint presented in a bottle with a dispenser for controlled application. Part of the Model Color range, this water-based metallic paint offers a matt, opaque finish with high pigment concentration designed primarily for brush-on work in model making, miniatures and craft projects. The formula dries rapidly to a self-leveling, homogeneous film and adheres well to primed surfaces including resin, plastics, metal and white metal. The bottle dispenser supports precise placement for detailing and decorative accents.
This acrylic Old Gold paint delivers a consistent metallic gold tone with high pigment load for good coverage in small quantities. Its water-based formula cleans easily with water and is compatible with standard hobby brushes; thinning for airbrush use is possible when required. The paint dries quickly to a durable, matt-opaque film that self-levels, allowing smooth finishes on both large surfaces and fine details. Exceptional adhesion on common modelling materials reduces the need for multiple layers on primed surfaces.
Shake the bottle before use to homogenize the pigment. Apply to a clean, primed surface with a hobby brush for controlled detailing; for larger areas use broader brushes. If airbrushing is preferred, thin the paint with an appropriate acrylic thinner or water to the viscosity recommended for your airbrush and test on scrap material first. Allow successive thin layers to dry between coats to build coverage and avoid paint pooling. Clean brushes and tools with water immediately after use.
For best results prime the substrate with a compatible primer and use thin, even layers. Store the bottle upright with the cap tightly closed and keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Test the paint on a small area if working on sensitive materials or when mixing with other products.
