Acrylic Paint VALLEJO 70.988 Brown (17 ml) — artist/model craft paint
VALLEJO 70.988 Brown is a matt, opaque acrylic paint in a 17 ml bottle formulated for model and hobby work. Designed for brush-on application, this water-based paint contains a high pigment concentration to deliver even, self-leveling coverage on miniatures, scale models, dioramas and other craft projects. It dries quickly to a homogeneous film and adheres well to common modelling materials such as resin, plastics, metal and steel. Brushes and tools clean up easily with water.
The acrylic formulation provides smooth brush application and rapid drying, producing a uniform, non-reflective finish. High pigment load ensures good coverage and colour depth even in small details. Compatibility with other acrylics and ability to thin for airbrush use make it versatile for layering, washes and fine detailing. Strong adhesion to a variety of modelling substrates reduces the need for special primers, although priming is recommended for best results.
Because this is a matt, opaque acrylic, it may not be the best choice when a glossy or highly reflective finish is required. Extremely thin glazing effects are possible but require dilution or specific transparent/glaze shades from the same range. For surfaces that will be handled heavily, additional protective varnishing may be advisable.
Shake the bottle before use. Apply with a clean brush to a primed surface for best adhesion and colour accuracy; thin with water or appropriate acrylic thinner if required for glazing or airbrush application. Allow layers to dry between coats to maintain detail. Clean brushes and tools with water immediately after use.
For best results on miniatures and small details, apply thin, multiple coats rather than a single heavy layer; prime the model first and allow sufficient drying time between coats. Use matching transparent or glaze shades from the same range for specialised effects.
