The cable is constructed from 8 stranded copper conductors with a braided shield and follows 1:1 contact wiring according to EIA/TIA 568. It has a characteristic impedance of 100 Ω and is designed for use as a patch cable in wiring cabinets or as a direct connection between network devices; the flexible jacket allows for narrow bending. The cable-plug combination has been tested in our laboratory in a 100 m channel and complies with Class E specifications.
