VAUDE Asymmetric 48+8 L women's is a front-loading trekking backpack with an internal frame, designed for mountaineering, hiking and multi-day trekking. The pack offers 48 liters of main capacity with an additional 8 liters via a height-adjustable lid, and weighs approximately 1.6 kg. The pack is built on VAUDE's Tergolight Comfort Space suspension with an individually adjustable back length and load positioning straps, and uses Ergoshape shoulder straps and a softly padded hip belt adapted to women and people with shorter torsos. The exterior is finished in cherry and the materials include recycled polyester with an Eco Finish water- and stain-resistant treatment without fluorocarbons.

How to use

Adjust the pack back length to match your torso before loading, then set the load-positioning straps to bring the weight closer to your body. Fasten and adjust the hip belt so the padded belt sits on the hips to transfer the majority of the load. Use the front zip access for organised packing and quick retrieval of items; place dirty items in the separate bottom compartment. Store frequently used items like water bottles or hats in the side stretch pockets for on-the-go access. Use compression straps to stabilise the load and attach trekking poles, helmet or additional gear to the daisy chain and attachment loops as needed.

Maintain the Eco Finish by regular aftercare to preserve water and dirt repellency. For balanced carrying comfort, distribute weight with heavier items close to the back and near the hip belt, and check the replacement repair buckle stored on the upper strap before long trips.
