Solder Wire Lead-free 230 °C 15 g Velleman SOLDERDISPLF
Solder Wire Lead-free 230 °C 15 g Velleman SOLDERDISPLF
Velleman SOLDERDISPLF is a lead-free solder wire composed of 99.3% tin (Sn) and 0.7% copper (Cu) with a melting point of 230 °C. Supplied in a 15 g dispenser with 1.0 mm diameter wire, it is designed for electronic soldering where a lead-free alloy and compact packaging are required.
The solder wire provides a reliable electrical and mechanical joint while meeting lead-free requirements. Its 1.0 mm diameter offers good control for general electronic assembly and repair tasks. The small 15 g dispenser is convenient for hobbyists and technicians who need a compact, ready-to-use supply without large spools.
Prepare the soldering iron to an appropriate temperature for a 230 °C alloy (typically set higher than the melting point to ensure heat transfer, commonly 320–370 °C depending on the iron and joint size). Clean the surfaces to be soldered, apply flux if necessary, heat the joint with the soldering iron and feed the solder wire until the joint is adequately covered. Allow the joint to cool without disturbance to form a solid connection.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and work in a well-ventilated area. For lead-free soldering, ensure the soldering iron tip is in good condition and consider slightly higher temperatures than for leaded solders to achieve proper wetting. Store the dispenser in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
