Network transmitter Veracity VOR-ORL — 10/100Base-T(X) network extender, IEEE 802.3af, up to 2200 m, full/half duplex
The Veracity VOR-ORL OUTREACH Lite network extender doubles the usable length of a 10/100 Ethernet link without reducing throughput. It is a compact, wall-mountable inline transmitter that draws power from a PoE source (IEEE 802.3af) and requires no local power supply or configuration. OUTREACH Lite repeats the Ethernet signal to maintain full 100BASE-T bandwidth over extended runs and can be combined with other OUTREACH units for even longer connections.
OUTREACH Lite provides transparent, full-bandwidth extension of 10/100 Ethernet links while remaining simple to install and maintain. It is powered via PoE so no separate power cabling is needed, and its two network ports auto-negotiate speed, duplex and crossover, making it plug-and-play. The device maintains the 200 Mbit/s full-duplex capacity of 100BASE-T links and supports quick upgrades to PoE using a standard injector if the network switch lacks PoE.
Install OUTREACH Lite inline within the Ethernet cable run between two cable sections or between a PoE source and the remote cable section. The device auto-negotiates network speed, duplex and crossover, so no configuration is required. If the network switch does not provide PoE, add a standard 802.3af injector at either end of the connection to supply power. For longer distances, combine OUTREACH Lite with PoE-forwarding extenders at appropriate intervals following the vendor’s guidance.
For extended runs beyond 200 m, use OUTREACH Lite together with OUTREACH Max (PoE-forwarding) units placed at recommended intervals to preserve full bandwidth and to forward PoE where needed. Use good quality Cat5e/Cat6 cable and ensure connectors and terminations meet Ethernet standards to maintain reliable operation.
