Ethernet Switch Veracity OUTREACH Max XT
The Veracity OUTREACH Max XT is an outdoor-rated network extender designed to extend power and data over Ethernet beyond the standard 328 ft (100 m) limit. It supports standard 802.3af PoE and 802.3at PoE+ devices without any special configuration and is built into a rugged, weather-resistant enclosure with IP66-rated connector covers. The unit includes options for wall mounting and is specified for extended temperature operation, making it suitable for external IP cameras, wireless transmitters and other PoE devices that must be positioned away from the switch.
OUTREACH Max XT provides plug-and-play compatibility with 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards, eliminating the need for configuration. Its IP66-rated connector covers allow easy assembly around conventionally terminated Cat5e and Cat6 cables while protecting connections from water and dust. The rugged housing and extended temperature rating support installation in challenging outdoor environments, and the included 2- or 4-bolt wall-mount bracket gives flexible mounting options. For linking buildings or connecting non-PoE equipment, compatibility with Veracity OUTREACH Lite XT models is available.
Install the OUTREACH Max XT near the building entry point or mounting location for the external device. Route Cat5e or Cat6 cables through the IP66 connector covers and assemble the covers around conventionally terminated cable ends to maintain the weatherproof seal. Connect the network and PoE source to the IN side and the remote device to the OUT side following the supplied mounting and wiring guidance. No configuration is required for standard 802.3af/at PoE devices; the unit will pass power and data to the connected device automatically.
For wireless applications requiring 24 V PoE, a 24 V POE model is available by special order—contact Veracity support to enquire. Use suitable outdoor-rated cables and follow local wiring and grounding regulations. If extending between buildings or powering non-PoE equipment, verify compatibility with OUTREACH Lite XT options and plan cable runs to avoid excessive signal loss.
