Pruning Shears Verto 15G205 Anvil Green
The Verto 15G205 Anvil Green pruning shears are compact garden shears designed for trimming branches and bushes with precision. These anvil shears use a single sharpened blade that closes against a flat surface to deliver clean cuts on dry or hard woody stems. With a 5 cm blade and a cutting capacity up to 20 mm, the tool is suitable for light to medium pruning tasks. The tool measures 190 mm in length, features a Teflon-coated blade for corrosion resistance, a ratchet mechanism to reduce hand effort, and a blade lock for safe storage. The green lightweight handle combines fibreglass strength with an anti-slip coating for secure and comfortable grip during extended use.
The anvil cutting system produces controlled cuts on tougher, drier wood while the Teflon-coated blade resists rust and reduces sap build-up. The ratchet mechanism decreases required hand force, making repeated cuts easier for users with limited grip strength. An integrated blade lock enhances safety during transport and storage. The compact 190 mm length and lightweight construction improve maneuverability and make the shears easy to store in a toolbox or gardening bag.
Hold the shears by the handle with your dominant hand and position the branch between the cutting blade and the anvil. Squeeze the handles firmly to engage the ratchet mechanism if the stem is thicker, releasing and re-squeezing as needed until the cut is complete. For best results, cut at a slight angle and avoid twisting the tool. Use the blade lock when the shears are not in use to prevent accidental opening. After cutting, wipe the blade clean to remove sap and debris and store the tool in a dry place.
To maintain cutting performance and prolong tool life, clean the blade after each use, dry it thoroughly, and occasionally apply a light oil to the pivot and blade. Avoid using anvil shears on live green wood thicker than their rated capacity, and do not use them to cut wire, nails, or hardened materials. Inspect the ratchet and locking mechanism regularly to ensure safe operation.
