The Verto 15G466 planter is a compact peat propagator designed to hold up to 10 plants. Its dimensions are 220 x 85 x 55 mm with a depth of 220 mm and weight of approximately 190 g. Constructed from biodegradable plastic, the planter offers a small, lightweight solution for starting seeds, rooting cuttings or overwintering small seedlings in a controlled environment.
The planter combines a compact footprint with capacity for ten individual peat cells, allowing organized propagation in limited space. Biodegradable plastic construction reduces long-term waste compared with conventional non-degradable trays while remaining durable enough for repeated use during a growing season. Its lightweight design and standard dimensions make it easy to handle, store and transport.
Place peat plugs or soil-filled cells into each compartment, moisten to the recommended level and insert seeds or cuttings according to species-specific depth. Position the planter on a stable, level surface with good light exposure but protected from harsh midday sun. Maintain consistent moisture and, if available, cover with a transparent lid or place inside a propagator to retain humidity until germination or rooting occurs. Once roots have established and seedlings reach suitable size, transplant them carefully to larger pots or into the garden.
Use a well-draining peat or potting medium and avoid waterlogging. Label cells for different varieties to track germination. Compost or dispose of the biodegradable planter material according to local waste guidelines when it reaches the end of its usable life.
