Set of 5 galvanized steel U-channel fence posts, each 60 cm long, designed to support hexagonal wire mesh fencing sized 0.6 x 10 m. These posts offer a compact and corrosion resistant mounting solution for short boundary sections, perimeter reinforcement and temporary or semi-permanent enclosures in gardens, allotments and small animal areas. The galvanized finish helps prolong outdoor life and ensures compatibility with standard hexagonal wire mesh installation methods.
The U-channel shape provides a stable vertical profile that accepts the edge of hexagonal wire mesh and facilitates secure fastening. Galvanized steel construction gives good resistance to rust and weathering without additional surface treatment. The set of five identical posts allows even spacing for straightforward assembly and creates consistent support along the installed fence length.
These 60 cm posts are intended for low fences and may be inadequate for tall or heavy-duty fencing needs. They are not designed to support large gates or high-tension applications where taller, thicker or concreted posts are required. For very soft or unstable ground additional anchoring or longer posts may be necessary.
Position posts at regular intervals along the planned fence line and press or drive them into the ground to the required depth, ensuring they are vertical. Align the edge of the hexagonal wire mesh with the U-channel profile and secure the mesh using appropriate fasteners such as galvanised wire ties, clips or screws with washers. Trim excess mesh and check fixation points for even tension. For firmer installations, set posts into compacted soil or use concrete footings where necessary.
Use galvanized fasteners and clips to maintain corrosion resistance. Space posts evenly (typically 1–2 m depending on mesh and load) and check vertical alignment during installation. For long-term or load-bearing fences consider using longer or heavier posts and set them in concrete for greater stability.
