VidaXL hexagonal wire fence 0.8 x 50 m, galvanized steel; fence posts set 13 pcs 32 mm Ø, 120 cm, galvanized steel
VidaXL hexagonal wire fence 0.8 x 50 m in galvanized steel is a corrosion-resistant mesh roll designed for outdoor use. The product is supplied as a complete set with 13 galvanized steel fence posts, each 32 mm in diameter and 120 cm long, to secure and support the hexagonal mesh. This fence system is intended for boundary marking, plant protection, small animal enclosures and general garden or perimeter applications where a durable, rust-resistant barrier is required.
The galvanized steel construction provides protection against rust and weathering, extending service life compared with untreated wire. The hexagonal mesh design offers an open structure that allows visibility and airflow while forming a stable barrier. Including 13 matching galvanized posts simplifies installation because posts and mesh have compatible corrosion resistance and dimensions. The roll format of the mesh enables flexible placement and cutting to required lengths.
This hexagonal wire fence is designed for light to medium-duty outdoor applications. It may not be appropriate where a high-security barrier is required, such as preventing determined intruders or containing large, powerful animals. For locations with extreme mechanical stress or where a fully opaque barrier is needed for privacy, a heavier welded mesh or timber panel fence would be more suitable.
Unroll the hexagonal mesh along the intended fence line and position posts at regular intervals, typically spaced according to load and local ground conditions. Drive or set each 120 cm galvanized post into the ground so that sufficient length remains above ground to support the fence height. Fix the mesh to the posts using appropriate ties, wire clips or staples, ensuring the mesh is tensioned to avoid sagging. Trim the mesh to required lengths with wire cutters and overlap adjacent rolls by a suitable margin to maintain continuity. Check post alignment and fastening points, and backfill or secure posts where necessary to maintain stability.
For longevity, install the posts on stable ground and avoid direct soil contact at cut edges; apply protective paint or additional galvanic treatment to any exposed metal after cutting. Use stainless or galvanized ties and fasteners to preserve overall corrosion resistance. Inspect the fence periodically for loose fittings or damage and repair sections promptly to prevent further deterioration.
