Wire Mesh Fence VidaXL 0.5 x 50 m Green Steel
VidaXL welded wire mesh fence, green steel, 0.5 x 50 m, is a lightweight, continuous roll of welded steel mesh designed to form a simple barrier for outdoor spaces. The steel wires are welded at intersections to create a stable grid that can be unrolled, cut to length and fixed to posts or frames. This product suits boundary marking, garden protection, temporary enclosures and support structures for climbing plants.
The welded construction provides a uniform grid with consistent strength along the entire roll and the green finish offers basic corrosion resistance and visual integration into garden surroundings. Its roll format allows flexible installation options: it can be cut and shaped on site, attached to posts, stretched between supports or mounted on frames. The fence is lightweight compared with solid barriers, making handling and transport easier while still providing a visible and physical deterrent for small animals and pedestrians.
This welded wire mesh is not intended for high-security applications or to stop large or determined animals; it is a lightweight barrier offering visual separation and modest physical protection. It may also be unsuitable in environments with very high corrosion risk unless additional protective coatings or regular maintenance are applied. For heavy loads, impact resistance or climb-resistant requirements, a more robust fencing solution should be considered.
Unroll the mesh on a flat surface and measure the required length. Cut the wire mesh using appropriate wire cutters or tin snips, taking care to wear protective gloves and eye protection. Position posts at regular intervals along the desired line and attach the mesh to the posts with suitable ties, clips or wire fasteners, keeping the mesh taut to avoid sagging. For added stability, fasten the bottom edge to the ground or a base rail. If used as a trellis, secure the mesh vertically and train plants onto the grid as they grow.
For best results, install posts in firm, evenly spaced supports and tension the mesh during fixing to minimise sagging. Inspect and maintain the coated surface periodically, and consider adding supplementary supports or a lower base rail in areas with heavy animal pressure or ground contact to prolong service life.
