Lawn Edging Set VidaXL 10 pcs, flexible Corten steel strips 10 x 103 cm
The VidaXL Lawn Edging Set includes 10 flexible Corten steel strips, each measuring 10 x 103 cm, designed to form clean, durable borders between lawns, flowerbeds and paths. The strips provide a low-profile edge with a natural weathered-steel appearance that develops over time, helping define planting areas and contain soil while blending into landscape designs. The flexible nature of the strips allows them to follow curves and straight lines, making them adaptable for a variety of residential garden layouts.
This lawn edging set offers long-lasting separation between turf and planting beds without bulky profiles. Corten steel is corrosion-resistant in the sense that it forms a protective rust layer, reducing the need for regular maintenance and paint. The strips are slim but sturdy, enabling discrete edging that effectively restrains soil and mulch while creating a clear visual boundary. Flexibility simplifies installation along curved borders and irregular shapes.
The thin, low-profile strips are designed for visual separation and light soil retention; they are not intended for heavy-duty retaining walls or to hold back large volumes of earth. Very rocky or frozen ground can make insertion difficult without pre-drilling or additional groundwork. If a bright, unweathered metal finish is required, Corten steel will naturally develop a rusted patina over time, which may not match all design preferences.
Mark the desired border line and prepare the ground by removing turf or leveling soil where the edge will sit. Gently bend the strips to match required curves or keep them straight for linear borders. Position each strip with the top edge at the desired height relative to the lawn, then press or tap the lower edge into the soil until the strip is stable; in hard ground, use a hammer and a wooden block to protect the metal while driving it in. Overlap or butt-join ends as needed and backfill behind the edging to lock it in place. Regularly inspect the installed edging and adjust or re-secure sections if ground settlement occurs.
For best results, install edging on prepared soil and backfill immediately to stabilize the strips. Use gentle, even pressure when bending the strips to avoid kinks. If a uniform weathered finish is desired, allow the patina to develop naturally outdoors; cleaning with water and a soft brush is sufficient for routine maintenance.
